So here is another interesting way to use your new Prima flowers...spray them with Glimmer Mist!! WOOT!
And this one is really simple, and only takes a bit extra drying time!
Supplies needed:
Step One: Take one of the remaining flowers apart. I only used two petals for this project, but Glimmer Mist as many as you would like to use. You could even try different shades of the same colour to give your finished flower a really interesting look!
Step Two: Spray the petals with A LOT of Glimmer Mist. I really soaked mine. Then set them aside to dry. This will take a bit of time, depending on how saturated they are.
They will curl. I just flattened them with my hands and turned them over while they were drying.
Step Three: They will need at least two to three coats of Glimmer Mist, depending on how strong your Glimmer Mist colour is. Sea Glass is very light, so I needed more coats than you would with say Sapphire Blue or Candy Apple Red (for example).
Once you get the desired *sparkle*, flatten the fabric out as best you can and adhere it to your project. I used liquid glue (Ranger Glossy Accents), and then rested something "heavy" (the bottle of glossy accents!!) on top of the petals so they dried as flat as possible.
My finished layout!! You can only kind of see the shimmery effect in these photos, but if you click on them, Internet Explorer will enlarge them for you, and you'll get a better idea of how awesome this looks!
